Photography at The Cibolo

for the love of nature.

There are many scenic opportunities that offer a perfect background for your photo session. At the Cibolo Nature Center, we have wooded trails, a cypress-lined creek, a wetland, and a tall-grass prairie, all with abundant variety for your images. Herff Farm offers gardens, historic sites, and natural open spaces for a vintage farm look.  To learn more about each property, including the hours of operation, please visit the links above.

Both sites provide great opportunity for elegant and unique photographs. We appreciate you helping us keep the spaces pristine by purchasing a Photography Permit below and taking good care of nature while you visit.  Please note that a photo permit is required for all amateur portraits and all professional photographs.  All proceeds from photo permits support our stewardship of these beautiful natureal areas.

Permits are $25/session, or you can obtain an annual Photo Membership for $250 that allows you to take unlimited photos.

  • Do not use candles, bonfires or any other type of open flame.
  • Do not pick flowers, break tree limbs, move furniture or disrupt natural habitats.
  • Dressing room areas are limited to public restrooms in the Pavilion or at the Visitor Center.
  • Clothing is required at all times, as these are public spaces for families.
